Achieve Universal Primary Education

By 2015, the goal is to have all children able to complete a full course of primary schooling. The main problem with the lack of primary education is that after 4 years of schooling, 250 million children worldwide still aren't able to adequately read and write. However, countries around the world are starting to create unique solutions to the growing problem. For example, In Brazil, a conditional cash transfer program is making it easier to parents to send their children to school. 50 million children in poverty have been uplifted from their communities through the help from Bolsa Familia. Reports have shown a great growth regarding attendance and health conditions.

This topic is interesting to me because so many children here in the U.S. take their free education for granted. You always hear somebody say, "I hate school," or something else of that matter. We don't realize that all the things we have at easy access are something that other countries have to fight for.
